6’ 4/6/4 Youngstown Door

Manufacturing Company began manufacturing their Youngstown door sometime in the
1920’s. Many different height
doors were made and many corrugation arrangements were used. Door hardware and mounting often
varied. This polyurethane casting
represents a 6 foot wide, 4/6/4 corrugation, bottom supported door as used on CN
single sheathed ARA box cars, PRR X29 ARA steel box cars, and other 8’7” IH cars
built in the 1920’s. In the
future, SRCC will offer kits using this door.
