6’ B&M Three Panel Door
The B&M purchased 1000
cars in 1929 from Standard Steel Car Company that used a unique three panel
door. The first 975 cars were ARA
single sheathed cars, while the last 25 were ARA steel sheathed cars; all were
8’7” IH. Twenty of the single
sheathed cars and 5 of the steel cars had Mystic Terminal Company reporting
marks (MTC.) In the future, SRCC
will offer kits using this door.
